AAP's fourth in the series of its 2022 Virtual Door Knock will focus on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, Trade and ASEAN.
Ambassador Ashok Mirpuri, Singapore Ambassador to the US, will provide his view on the US-ASEAN Special Summit and the evolving engagement between the United States and the region, especially as it related to the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF).
Dr. Deborah Elms, Founder and Executive Director, Asian Trade Centre, will provide her insights on how the IPEF will be incorporated into the existing regional trade architecture.
Ambassador (ret) Rufus Yerxa, former Deputy USTR, will provide the context of how the IPEF will compare to existing US trade agreements.
This AAP series is designed to give the member of the AmChams of Asia Pacific direct access to the decision and policy makers and thought leaders on what is happening in Washington, DC, as well as to give the members the opportunity to give their first-hand perspective on what is happening in the region.
The session will be moderated by Steven Okun, Chair of AAP and Shiumei Lin, Vice Chair of AAP.
