The American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (AMCHAM Myanmar) was established on October 31, 2013. To date, more than 170 companies employing over 20,000 Myanmar nationals have joined the Chamber. These companies represent a diverse collection of industries and nationalities, with a common goal to expand American business and promote the highest business standards in Myanmar.

Mya Theingi is an experienced professional with a strong foundation in biomedical sciences, having graduated from Singapore. With over nine years of multifaceted experience, Mya has excelled in project management, sales, marketing, operations, partnerships management, SOP implementation, data analytics, and financial planning.


Having navigated roles in both the pharmaceutical and telecommunications sectors, she has demonstrated a keen ability to streamline workflows across cross-functional units. Previous positions include Marketing & Events Manager and Operations Manager at the chamber, where she played pivotal roles in organizational success.


Currently serving as Deputy Director, Mya brings a wealth of expertise to the leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring operational excellence. Known for a results-driven approach, Mya continues to make significant contributions to the professional landscape.

Dr. Saw Nay Nwe

Deputy MD of AA Medical Products Ltd.


She is a medical doctor and graduated from University of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar. She also holds the Certified Accounting Technician Diploma from ACCA, U.K. She is currently enrolled at Harvard Business School's YPO President Program, a nine-year program design to enhance the business skills of world top CEOs and owners/entrepreneurs. 


She is the CEO of Success and Success International Ltd (SSIL), the Deputy Managing Director of the AA Medical Products Ltd (AAMP) & Pacific AA Group (https://pacific-aa.com/) which manufactures and distributes pharmaceuticals, medical devices, health supplements and Petrochemical Lubricants. Pacific-AA Group was established in 1996 and is the leading supplier and distributor of quality medical products (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and dietary supplements), petrochemical Lubricant and Chevrolet cars in Myanmar. 


The group has a staff of over 1200 people working out of 26 offices throughout Myanmar with a fleet of more than 150 vehicles which enables her group to serve over 24,000 customers nationwide including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, workshops, mining, industrial zones, etc. Pacific AA Group includes companies in Singapore (Pacific Pharmaceuticals Private Limited and Kaleidoscope Holdings Private Limited), Dubai (Pacific LLC) and the USA (Pacific Pharmaceuticals USA Inc). 


She co-founded the first privately owned Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Factory (Pacific Medical Industries Ltd) and the first privately owned petrochemical lubricant blending Plant (Pacific PSP Syntech Co Ltd) in Myanmar. She is also the Deputy Managing Director of Pacific Alpine Myanmar Ltd (Pacific AA Group) which is the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet cars from General Motor (USA). 


She serves as a vice president of the Lubricants & Specialities Entrepreneurs Association and the Joint Secretary General (1) of the Chamber of Commerce for Pharmaceuticals & Medical Device. Her group has received the CSR Excellence Recognition Award from American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar for four consecutive years, Outstanding Performance Award of Highest Chevrolet Sales in SEA Export Market, Best Distributor Performance Award from Total Lubricant, France and the top 26th income taxpayer recognition in 2019 & 2020. 


She served as a Chapter Chair of YPO Yangon Chapter in 2021~22 FY and Board of Governors' member of The American Chamber of Commerce, Myanmar. She received the highest level of presidential award and the honorary titles "Agga Maha Thiri Thudhamma Theingi" in Jan 2021 for her significant efforts in line with healthcare, education, community peace, social & religious development for the nation.

Lin Thandar Aung

CEO of Pepsi Myanmar


Lin is an Entrepreneur and Business Executive dedicated to empowering individuals for professional success. Over the past three years, Lin have held key roles in Pepsi Myanmar (Lotte MGS Beverage Co., Ltd), culminating appointment as the Director of Commercial & Operations in early 2023 and promoted as a CEO in November 2023. Her expertise encompasses YoY revenue growth, strategic development, change management, restructuring, nationwide business expansion, guiding organizations through transformative journeys, and P&L oversight.


Lin, having experienced diverse cultures and an unconventional background through studying and working in Myanmar, UK, Ireland, and Malaysia, developed a unique perspective. After high school, Lin got into programming, securing a role in a successful local software company. While writing programs for banking and retail clients, her interest in accounting grew. Combining technical expertise with a precise and organized nature, Lin transitioned to become an accountant and problem solver. Progressing from CAT to ACCA, Lin's strong work ethic facilitated the accumulation of relevant work experience.


In 2005, Lin began her international career as an Account Manager at QucomHaps in Dublin, Ireland, focusing on robust accounting processes and consolidating Financial Statements across multiple countries. Transitioning to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I served as Operations Manager at QucomHaps from 2008 to 2011, overseeing diverse projects with a $2 million budget. Taking charge of internal control in on ground operations, Lin started to take more serious interest in Operational management and took a role as an Operations Manager at a later stage.


Moving to Singapore in 2011, as an Account Manager at Squared Financial, she established a Forex trading company, securing regulatory approval and managing Annual Return filings. Returning to Kuala Lumpur in 2012, she became an Account Manager at CXC Global, overseeing talent management and reorganizing 37 projects in the Asia-Pacific region.

 

After going through a professional journey that reflects diverse roles, international exposure, and a commitment to excellence in financial management and strategic operations, Lin moved back home in late 2013. She led comprehensive project management for Myanmar power station development, overseeing all facets, including managing a $5 million budget. Proficient in financial management and strategic resource allocation. Navigated complex stakeholder interactions with government departments, ensuring smooth project progression and compliance. Crucially, performed financial planning and modeling, ensuring project viability and attracting funding. Beyond traditional project management, played a vital role in driving success, contributing to Myanmar's energy landscape.

Jasmine Thazin Aung

Deputy CEO (Business Banking) of AYA Bank


Jasmine Thazin Aung is the Deputy CEO of AYA Bank and Chief Executive Director of Max Global Investment. In her capacity with AYA Bank, she takes charge of Business Banking Units and Financial Institutions establishment. She is a member of the Executive Committee of AYA Bank.


In addition to her Deputy CEO role, she also co-heads and takes several roles with AYA Financial Group ("AFG"). With AFG, she takes charge of AYA Trust Securities Co., Ltd as the Managing Director for Capital Market Activities including securities brokerage and Corporate Finance Transactions, and she is also the member of the Board of Directors of AYA SOMPO Insurance Co., Ltd.


From her capacity with Corporate Finance activities, she oversees and monitors diversified investment portfolios that includes existing, on-going, and new business ventures of Chairman's investment office as well new Mergers and Acquisitions ["M&A"], Joint Ventures with Potential Partners for AYA Financial Group's entities and/or investment in new ventures.


She holds a master's degree in Business Administration (Corporate Finance) from Nottingham Trent University. Before joining AYA Financial Group and Max Global Investment, she was a PwC Advisory Partner and local Lead Director/Partner for PwC Myanmar. She has over 16 years of professional experiences including 11.5 years with PwC Singapore and PwC Myanmar for audit, financial advisory and consulting and 5 years in the Maritime service industry in Myanmar.

Myat Phyu The

Director of Communications and Sustainability of Coca-Cola Myanmar


Myat has a broad career as a Public Affairs and Communications Strategist in many businesses and geographies. Her degrees include a BA in English from Dagon University and a Master of Public Administration from Yangon's Institute of Economics.


After seven years running a global FMCG's Corporate Affairs unit, Myat brings experience to Coca-Cola Myanmar. The local woman in the leadership team in-market managed various crises to maintain business continuity and employee and customer safety. Policy advocacy, stakeholder involvement, and business reputation development were Myat's strengths.


Myat began her work as a newscaster in 2001 before becoming the External Relations Manager for Proximity Designs, a US based NGO that helps rural farmers. She later became a Senior Associate at Vriens & Partner, an international government relation consulting firm, establishing efficient government affairs strategies for global companies. Her knowledge was also used by International Foundation for Electoral Systems in Myanmar and One Acre Fund in Kenya.

Medical Officer In-Charge of ARYU International Hospital


Dr. San Yi Htet is a highly skilled medical professional with a comprehensive background in healthcare, specializing in internal medicine. She earned her MBBS degree from the University of Medicine 1 in Yangon in 2007, followed by completing MRCP Part 1 & 2 in the UK, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.


With over a decade of experience in various healthcare settings, Dr. San Yi Htet has honed her clinical expertise and leadership abilities. She began her career at SSC Hospital as a Medical Officer from 2008 to 2010, where she gained valuable experience in patient care and medical management. Subsequently, she expanded her horizons by working at HSC Hospital in Malaysia from 2010 to 2013, followed by a role as a Senior Medical Officer at Victoria Hospital from 2013 to 2015. During this time, she demonstrated her clinical acumen and ability to provide high-quality medical services to patients.


In 2015, Dr. San Yi Htet took on the position of Senior Medical Officer at OSC Hospital, where she further distinguished herself through her dedication to patient care and her collaborative approach to interdisciplinary healthcare. Her exemplary performance led him to serve as a Medical Doctor at SOS International Clinic from 2018 to 2019, where she continued to uphold the highest standards of medical practice.


Since 2019, Dr. San Yi Htet has been serving as the Medical Officer In-Charge at ARYU International Hospital, where she oversees medical operations and ensures the delivery of exceptional patient care. In this capacity, she plays a pivotal role in managing medical resources, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of excellence within the healthcare team.


Known for her clinical expertise, compassionate care, and strong leadership skills, Dr. San Yi Htet continues to make significant contributions to the medical field, enriching the lives of patients and advancing healthcare standards within her community.
