Event Details

Please note that this event will be held at 09:30 am SGT, which is 08:00 am Myanmar time. This event is being hosted by AmChams of Asia Pacific (AAP).

Please join AMCHAM Myanmar and our colleagues in AMCHAMs of the Asia Pacific (AAP) for an engaging series focused on the Asia-Pacific region!

AAP will be hosting the Asia book launch of "U.S.-Taiwan Relations: Will China's Challenge Lead to a Crisis?" The co-authors are AAP VDK veteran Ryan Hass, along with Bonnie Glaser and Richard Bush. Click here for the book link.

Co-authors Ryann Hass and Bonnie Glaser will discuss their forthcoming book which rightsizes the risks confronting Taiwan by taking a holistic view of China's national ambitions and Taiwan's role in them, China's strategies for pursuing unification with Taiwan, and America's most effective responses. The authors argue that the center of gravity for determining the future of Taiwan is the will of Taiwan's 23 million people. American policy should focus on their hopes and fears if the US wishes to maintain influence over events in the Taiwan Strait.

This AAP series is designed to give the member of the AmChams of Asia Pacific direct access to the decision and policy makers and thought leaders on what is happening in Washington, DC, as well as to give the members the opportunity to give their first-hand perspective on what is happening in the region.

The session will be moderated by Steven Okun, Chair of AAP.

The event is for AmCham members only. Pre-registration is required and this session will be on the record and recorded.
