8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) Official Agenda Announcement

The American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar warmly invites all members to our 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) — an evening to vote, to reflect, and to celebrate the achievements of our community.

The AGM is one of the most important gatherings of the year. It brings together members of our business community to vote on constitutional changes, elect new Governors to the Board, review our financials, and share the next chapter in our advocacy journey. This year's meeting will also mark the close of an era with the farewell address of President Adam Castillo, who will conclude five years of service on the AMCHAM Myanmar's Board.

A Moment of Legacy:

This year's AGM will be historic—not only for the votes and milestones achieved—but because it marks the final address of Adam Castillo, whose leadership helped AMCHAM endure through pandemic, coup, economic collapse, natural disasters, and international pressure. His farewell will reflect on the chamber's transformation from a surviving entity to a shining city upon a hill—a beacon of light for American business in Myanmar.

Membership Voting:

Members will be asked to vote on two major matters:

1. Various Constitutional Amendments will be voted on to update the Constitution to suit the present-day context, with primary changes being:

• Increasing Board term limits from two consecutive terms to three
• Inserting the relevant provisions on establishment of the US-Burma Economic Forum
• Inserting a provision regarding Membership votes taken in emergency or crisis situations.

2. Election of the 2025–2027 Board of Governors
