Why Join AMCHAM?
The AMCHAM Myanmar Chamber provides a point of exchange and coordination of efforts to improve business conditions and opportunities for American and American affiliated organizations in Myanmar. AMCHAM provides businesses and business-persons with a venue for the exchange of ideas and for identifying common purposes to pursue in both the private and government sectors in Myanmar, in the Asian region and in the United States. AMCHAM Myanmar currently has 8 committees that cover a variety of commercial and industrial business activities, as well as the Chamber's social and charitable functions. Each committee serves as a forum for discussing common interests and common issues, as well as for taking initiative and action. AMCHAM has no affiliation with the U.S. Government or any of its components; however AMCHAM maintains an active collaborative relationship with the Embassy of the United States in Yangon and other U.S. Government institutions. Through these channel, AMCHAM has access to information on economic and commercial activities within the country and maintains liaison with various ministries of the Myanmar government. AMCHAM also provides the focal point for channeling social service activities intended to benefit the people of Myanmar through the its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.

Corporate members of AMCHAM must be registered in Myanmar. Associate members are NGOs or registered overseas.

Code of Business Conduct
AMCHAM Myanmar is a non-partisan, non-profit business organization. We advocate the principles of free trade, open markets, private enterprise, the unrestricted flow of information, and ethical business practices. It is fundamental to our philosophy that good ethics and good business are synonymous. We believe that American business plays an important role as a catalyst for positive social change by promoting human welfare and the principles of free enterprise. AMCHAM recognizes that American companies already set the highest standards for ethical business practices. We encourage members to communicate information about their existing programs and practices relative to good corporate citizenship in the markets in which they operate.
Corporate (Large) membership is for companies with a registered office in Myanmar.

If you NOT registered in Myanmar (registered in the U.S., Singapore, etc.), please apply for Associate membership.
This is the most popular membership in AMCHAM, but please check that it is the right choice for you.
Corporate (SME) membership is only open to companies with a registered office in Myanmar.
This membership is for companies that meets the following criteria:
If you do not meet the above criteria, you qualify for Corporate (Large) membership.
If you are an NGO registered anywhere in the world, please apply for Associate membership.
If you a company NOT registered in Myanmar (registered in the US, Singapore, etc.), please apply for Associate membership.
Associate membership is only open to non-profit organizations (NGOs) companies.
Associate members will not receive voting rights at the Annual General Meeting, or Board of Governor eligibility.
Corporate (large and SME) membership is only open to companies with a registered office in Myanmar. If you are registered in Myanmar, you need to apply for Corporate membership (either large or SME).

-Must provide proper documentation from country of registration
-Should be an American company, represent an American brand, office in the US or have business transactions with US companies
-Must be recommended by an existing AMCHAM member company or an American company
